OUR MISSION
Civics Matters Arizona cultivates year-round civic education and responsible citizenship to empower young students to lead, serve, and shape the future of our state and our nation. By connecting learning to real experiences, locally and nationally, our programs equip students with the tools, confidence, and sense of responsibility needed to be informed, active participants in their communities and contribute to a stronger democracy.

WHAT IS CIVICS MATTERS ARIZONA AND HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Civics Matters Arizona is a year-round civic education initiative that helps students build civic understanding, leadership skills, and real-world experience through learning and action.
Get started by registering as a school or individual student and gaining access to the Civics Matters Learning Hub, where interactive modules guide participants through civic learning and unlock opportunities to engage in events, challenges, and leadership experiences.
Empowering Arizona’s Next Generation of Civic Leaders
Teachers, students, and administrators are invited to join us from
10 AM – 2 PM
for a field trip dedicated to civic education, which will include:
- Special appearances from elected officials and the Arizona Cardinals
- Highly experiential activities and sessions
- Opportunities to learn more about the expansion of Civics Matters AZ
- Professional development for teachers
- Lunch will be provided for all attendees
